Spiritual Direction

Explore Your Spiritual Path

Most of us are just skating through life and living on the surface. We are allowing the noise and the business of life to keep us in a pattern where we cannot see, feel, or have time to be reflective.

Spiritual Direction is the ancient practice of walking alongside someone as they explore their spiritual path. A Spiritual Director serves as a companion on your journey by listening, asking questions, and offering support and guidance. Some have called Spiritual Directors “anam cara,” or soul friends. The goal of Spiritual Direction is not conversion, but exploration and discovery. It is a path that can help you break through the surface and uncover hidden layers. Spiritual Direction calls us to pay attention and notice patterns that may be keeping us stuck. It’s about your spiritual path, not the director’s. Spiritual Direction is not a form of therapy or counseling. A good Spiritual Director will know when to refer a client for psychological support. Spiritual Direction is also not life coaching because there is a distinctly spiritual element to the work.

This is sacred work and it would be my honor to walk beside you on this journey.

What to Expect

Sessions are usually an hour long. Most people tend to see their director once a month, though this can be customized. Most also find it helpful to commit to a certain number of months, as spiritual direction is not a process that happens overnight. I find six months a reasonable time frame.

Pricing

Sessions are $75 each and can be virtual or in-person

The purpose of spiritual direction is to enable us to become holy ourselves.”
